Mr. Welker's Class: Podcast Assignment Sign-up Sheet
Guidelines for podcast assignment sign-up:
- Teams should consist of two people. Teammates may be from either of Mr. Welker's classes.
- Due dates are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only one team per date.
- Topics must be posted to the wiki three weeks before your due date.
- Descriptions must be posted two weeks before your due date.
- A draft of the script must be submitted to Mr. Welker one week before your due date.

| February 4 | Yael and Laura | How do facebook and Myspace differ? Are these online social networks really free? | We will research the ways online networks that are free to the consumer actually earn money. We will then make a comparision between two firms in that market; Facebook and Myspace. |
| February 6 | Matthew, Nick and Josh | Specific Ski market in Flims/Laax | We intend to research and find out how shops in Flims vary the prices of selected Ski brands. Video |
| February 25 | Daniel, Chris and Mike | Movie Theater or Home entertainment? Which provides more marginal utility? | Producers from BP productions intend to examine all aspects involving the decision between going to a movie theater or staying at home. We will bring you upclose and personal interviews from students, teachers, Theater employees, and movie rental owners. Our video documentary will be edited using the hottest technology out there known as "I-Movie" and scenes from our favorite movies will be included. |
| February 13 | Markus and Zac | Is the local kebab market perfectly competitive? | Interview kebab shop owners in Thalwil and Adliswil. How do they set their prices, differentiate their products, etc.? Research market and individual firms through student/teacher interviews. We will be making a video. |
| February 11 | Justus, Bjorns | Is the Mountainbike market Monopolistically Competative, and are Mountainbikes normal or inferior goods. | Interviewing consumers and producers/ sellers to answer the question: do they differentiate, etc. Also, questions of the effect of the financial crisis will be posed. We will use iMovie. |
