Economics helps me to understand why the world is the way it is today. Economics already starts in a small household but it also can be in a big state or country. At my previous school we already talked about "homo oeconomicus", how people are. We also talked about how the whole world has scarcity and that's the reason why we have economics. So basically without economics I guess the world would have a lot more problems than we have right now. And that means a lot to me that we don't have to deal with even more problems than we actually already have.
